AVANT is a collection that we offer with confidence after a series of improvements. It is made of top-quality 100% hand crumpled linen. This crumpled linen has a very light texture and doesn’t feel coarse unlike other linens due to our special technique. Even though it is very lightweight at about 10.6oz including rings (AVANT is the lightest among all collections), this fabric is also durable enough to carry up to 39 lbs (about 3-year-old.) And happily, its portable size can be put inside your bag easily. Our original crumpled linen has a strong and soft texture.

Our highly-skilled artisans don’t use chemical starches in the crumpled-linen process. Instead, they use a natural starch made from the Konjak plant. During dyeing process, the linen is carefully hand-dyed in factories in Kyoto where they have dyed kimono fabrics for generations. At finishing, they carefully crumple the linen fabric in hot water.

As you use the sling day by day, the fabric becomes even softer and feels better on your and your baby’s skin. In addition, when you become moist with sweat, linen doesn’t become sticky and it dries quickly, so for babies who sweat easily, linen is the most suitable fabric.
